Before the start of the Berlin vs. Pembroke-Campbell boys varsity hockey game Dec. 20, representatives of the Nucar Automotive Group presented a $70,000 check to the Notre Dame Arena Inc. for the thorough renovation of the arena’s lobby area. Work was completed over the summer and celebrated at the team’s home opener on Friday night. The work involved a complete facelift of the restrooms, freshly painted interior with Nucar brand colors, as well as new cut proof flooring installed over the summer.

BERLIN — Before Saturday night’s boys’ varsity hockey team home opener against Pembroke-Campbell started, those in attendance at the game learned of renovations to the Nucar Notre Dame Arena that are now complete.
As the game announcer noted for the evening audience, “a complete facelift of the restrooms, freshly painted interior with Nucar brand colors, as well as new cut-proof flooring, were installed over the summer and fall by arena staff and board members. New handmade benches and modern countertops complete the much-needed facelift.
