BERLIN — Monday, Aug. 19, is the first day of the regular athletic season for Berlin High School students. All athletes who want to participate in cross country, field hockey or soccer must attend tryouts and have an up-to-date physical.

Coaches Nicole and Paul Arguin will hold field hockey tryouts from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Gaydo Field Track Complex behind Berlin Middle High School, 550 Willard St., Berlin. Each student must bring a field hockey stick, mouth guard, shin guards, cleats, sneakers, two to three extra pairs of socks, and at least one gallon of water and healthy snacks.
