Before boarding the ship for our recent Trans-Atlantic Ocean Cruise, my wife and I spent a day and a half in Copenhagen, Denmark. Denmark is often listed among the 10 most livable countries on earth, as well as its people being among the happiest. Although we spent only a day and a half there, it was easy to come away quite impressed.
Copenhagen is a very easy city in which to get around. Bicycles are clearly the preferred means of transportation, providing both an inexpensive way of getting from one place to another, as well as a great means of daily exercise. Best of all, bicycles are non-polluting. Walking here and there is also a terrific way of both getting around and getting exercise. The people of Copenhagen certainly seem to make good use of their opportunities.
