ERROL – For six of the last nine years, the town of Errol has received more in federal revenue for the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge than it would have received in property taxes for the property.

Since 2004, the town has received a total of $187,629 in federal refuge revenue sharing funds for the Umbagog refuge. If the federal government paid property taxes on the refuge, the town would have received $143,089 or $44,540 less.
