There are concerns that the case of missing hiker Kevin Race, initially believed to be a potential suicide, may be an elaborate ruse.

Race, of Woolwich, Maine, was set to appear in Lincoln County Superior Court in Maine last Tuesday on charges of embezzlement, but his girl friend reported him as a missing person on Monday when he didn’t return from a hike on Mount Washington.
