COOS COUNTY — What started as a day to decorate the graves of Union soldiers with flowers has grown into a day to recognize all the men and women who died in military service to their country. This weekend, amid the barbecues and outdoor parties, many will take time to participate in observances honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
