NH DHHS advises consumers to not eat recalled Taylor Fresh Foods iceberg lettuce

CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) is advising consumers not to eat any recalled iceberg lettuce products from Taylor Fresh Foods. The lettuce may be contaminated with Cyclospora, a parasite that can cause foodborne illness. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that Taylor Fresh Foods is voluntarily recalling certain iceberg lettuce products sourced from central Mexico. To date, DHHS has not identified any cases of cyclosporiasis (Cyclospora infection) in New Hampshire linked to the national outbreak.

The recalled products were distributed to retailers and food service customers, including locations in New Hampshire, between June 29 and July 16. The FDA website contains a complete list of products and lot numbers. At this time, there is no information indicating that any recalled products were distributed directly to consumers through New Hampshire stores, but restaurants and other food service entities should check their inventory for recalled products.
