BERLIN — Reconstruction of the Mason Street Bridge, the structure that connects the city’s east and west sides, took its next step forward with a public hearing May 7 at City Hall.
The bridge is being repaired to correct structural deficiencies of the bridge while minimizing the cost of construction and future maintenance. The need is to tend to the condition of the bridge joints, the concrete deck and concrete pier cap, as visually presented to the night’s attendees.
