MILAN — About a dozen residents of this town bordering Berlin learned more of the structural details of a proposed N.H. Army National Guard hangar to be built in a field at the Berlin Regional Airport. Some remain concerned, if not opposed, to the idea.

The project is federally funded, approved in Fiscal Year 2023 with a $5.5 million budget. The project needs to be completed before Sept. 30, 2028, said engineer Logan Kenney, director of construction and facilities with the N.H. Army National Guard. The National Guard Bureau has to approve each phase of the project.
