SARGENT'S PURCHASE — A Massachusetts man died in a climbing accident on Mount Washington earlier this month, but the death wasn't reported to the Coos County Attorney until last Friday, and the press wasn't notified until this week.

White Mountain National Forest Public Affairs Officer Evan Burks issued a press release Wednesday after the Sun contacted the U.S. Forest Service multiple times, asking for information.
