Gorham and Randolph town officials met in nonpublic session on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21, at Randolph Town Hall to discuss, among other things the payments in lieu of taxes on Gorham's watershed land in Randolph.

The meeting was called after Gorham received the latest bill — technically a payment in lieu of taxes or PILT — on the land and found it was almost double the 2018 bill, increasing from some $19,600 to nearly $36,000.
