BERLIN — The city council met last week with Coos County OHRV Coordinator Wayne Saunders to discuss creating a uniform set of rules for off-highway recreational vehicle use across the county.

After hiring the retired Fish and Game officer through a grant, Coos County Sheriff Brian Valerino has dispatched Saunders to meet with town officials to discuss OHRV regulations. In a coordinated effort with the N.H. Trails Bureau and the N.H. Department of Safety, the sheriff’s office is trying to make it easier for tourists and for law enforcement by having uniformity through the entire system.
