BERLIN — Pending the governor and executive council’s decision, a special election to fill the state representative seat vacated by Brian Valerino could be scheduled on the same day as the next municipal election, Nov. 4.

Mayor Robert Cone and City Councilors Diana Berthiaume, Peter Higbee, Paul Grenier, Steven Korzen, Peter Morency, Mia Qualls and Brian Valerino signed the letter to Ayotte. City Councilor Robert Theberge did not attend the July 21 council meeting.
