BERLIN — Attendance is encouraged at the “Candidates Night: Round Tables, Not Podiums” from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 22 in city hall auditorium. Mandy Bernd, of Community Builders Hub, will oversee the program. Candidates for city council, school board and mayor are expected to give brief introductions of why they are running for the particular office and what one issue he or she would like to address if elected. In the “Conversations with the candidates” part of the program, there will be four sessions of 15 minutes each. Attendees will have the chance to choose what tables to visit to have a conversation with and ask questions of candidates for a particular office.
