GORHAM — Area residents who have served in the military were honored at Friday’s Veterans’ Day Assembly in the gymnasium at the Edward Fenn Elementary School. Students prepared for the special day by learning the day’s history and writing essays about it along with biographies of family members and neighbors who answered the call of duty by serving the nation in uniform.
Principal Tina Binette welcomed the four-member Berlin Police Department honor guard which posted the colors. Students Ryan Lemoine and Cody Marshall led the audience in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
