Town officials are hoping New Hampshire and Maine legislators will work together on a reciprocity agreement for interstate snowmobiling, believing both states have restricted use of cross-state trails with current registration requirements.

Three years ago, the Maine legislature opted to rescind its reciprocity for snowmobile registrations, thus stripping New Hampshire riders of the freedom to cross the state line without the additional cost of a Maine registration.
