The filing period opened yesterday for the Sept. 14 primary with open seats ranging from county positions to governor to the U.S. Senate.

Locally, town clerks reported it was quiet. Late Wednesday afternoon, Berlin City Clerk Debra Patrick said no one had shown up to file on either the Republican or Democrat ticket for the four state representative seats in District 4 which includes Berlin.
