COLEBROOK — A Hooksett man faces charges, NH Fish and Game police said, for his illegal operation of a snowmobile on a trail not open to the public on Dec. 21.

Around 7 a.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified of a snowmobile in the ditch off East Colebrook Road in Colebrook. It was reported that the machine looked as if it had been in a crash. A conservation officer responded to the scene of the crash to investigate.
