LANCASTER —Christina Morency of Berlin pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled drug in Coos County Superior Court last Wednesday.

The 31-year old daughter of Berlin Police Chief Peter Morency, she was given a 12-month suspended sentence, which may be imposed for a period of up to five years. Morency was placed on probation for two years and ordered to participate meaningfully and complete counseling, treatment and educational programs directed by probation. She was given a total of $930 in fines and apenalty assessment with $600 of the total suspended for five years. Morency was also ordered to make restitution of $200 to the N.H. State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit.
