BERLIN – The city council’s decision to approve a purchase option for the city parking lot at the corner of Cole and Mason Streets to a company looking to build a hotel in the downtown has drawn opposition from one Mason Street business.

Lynda Roberts and David Marois, of Lynda Roberts & Associates, said the loss of the parking lot would be devastating to their business at the corner of Oak and Mason Streets.
