Berlin woman remains in critical condition following July 4 accident

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, MASS– A young Berlin woman remained in critical condition at a Boston hospital Thursday afternoon after she was injured in a July 4 accident on Martha’s Vineyard. Three members of a Dummer family were also still hospitalized yesterday with injuries incurred in the same accident

Massachusetts State Police yesterday said Heather Laflamme, 21, of Berlin was at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with life-threatening injuries. Two other passengers in the vehicle, Seth Jones, 26, and his mother, Margaret Jones, 51, both of Dummer were patients at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where they were being treated for serious injuries. All three were flown by helicopter from Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Jones, 51, of Dummer, the husband of Margaret Jones, was in serious condition yesterday at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
