Theresa Ann Lessard, 90, Berlin and Epsom, N.H., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at The Hospice House in Concord, N.H. after a brief illness.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., on Oct. 28, 1929, the daughter of Elton and Hulda (Dahlsing) Gendron.

A life-long resident of Berlin, she was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish. In August of 2019, Theresa moved in with her daughter Wendy in Epsom, N.H.

Theresa was married to Paul G. Lessard who died on Dec. 17, 1994. She held various jobs throughout her career including co-owner with her husband Paul of the Berlin Travel Bureau.

In retirement, Theresa volunteered countless hours at various agencies, most notably at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital gift shop with her companion Warren Johnson who died on Feb. 3, 2015. She loved to knit and donated mittens, hats and sweaters to various organizations who serviced those in need.

Theresa is survived by her son, Brian P. Lessard, of Claremont, N.H., and her four daughters, Judith T. Snell of Apple Valley, Calif.; Marlene S Boisclair of Claremont, N.H.; Wendy R Lessard of Epsom; and Ann D Lessard of Grandville, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; four sisters, Verlie Rajaniemi, Julia Hodgdon, Priscilla (Kelly) Shemp and Ellen Jane Kaufman.

Theresa was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen, who died in 1968, two brothers, Carl Gendron and David Gendron and one sister, Pearl Fortier.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, a private graveside service and interment will take place in the Spring of 2020 in Berlin.
