Nominations being sought for the Berlin Volunteer Award Tree City of Berlin Volunteer Recognition Award

The Berlin Volunteer Award will be given annual during April, National Volunteer Month, to volunteers who have done service to the municipality of Berlin. The Berlin Community Services Department is now taking applications for this year’s award. Applications are available at the Berlin Health Department, The Berlin City Manager’s Office, the Berlin Public Library and the Berlin Recreation & Parks Department. The awards will be given in a number of categories so as to recognize a variety of people who are making a difference in the community. Services must be performed outside of the context of the nominee’s paid employment and in service to the city of Berlin. A plaque will be awarded to each winner and a small name plate will be installed on the public Volunteer Recognition Tree at the city hall.
