Yoga with Monica Plant: Monica Plante, a Level I and Level II certified yoga instructor, will offer yoga classes at the Berlin Recreation Center beginning Sept. 9. This will be a beginner level class but all levels can benefit. Students will be directed to focus on movements that will increase stability, strength and flexibility. The yoga poses will include standing, sitting and restorative poses with students gaining patience and inner peace. This is a seven-week program, Mondays, Sept. 9, to Oct. 28 (no class Monday, Oct. 14), from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The cost is $70 for the seven-week program or $15 per week for individual “drop-in” sessions. It is open to anyone age 13 and older but anyone under the age of 18 will have to have a parent signature on the release form. K-2 fall soccer: The fall soccer program for kindergarten through grade 2, led by instructor Jim Couhie, is great for kids, whether they are new to the sport or want to continue a summer experience. The six-week program will meet on Saturdays, starting Sept. 14. Lessons and games are held 10-11:30 a.m. at the Gilbert Street Field, rain or shine. Ballroom dancing: Berlin Recreation is interested in talking with anyone qualified to teach ballroom dancing. The rec department will do its best to work around the teacher's schedule to find the best day and time to instruct individuals and couples. Are you interested in learning ballroom dancing?
