New program: Wellness Support Group. The new Wellness Support Group will meet every Tuesday at the Berlin Recreation Center as long as interest is maintained. This is simply a peer-to-peer gathering to support each other’s efforts to get and/or stay healthy. No licensed professionals — simply friends with shared goals in mind. Private weigh-in starts at 4:30 p.m. and is completely optional. Some can then get exercise in by walking around the gym until group discussion starts at 5 p.m. Program was created due to interested Weight Watcher members but you do not have to be a Weight Watcher member to join. Discussions have included "Coping with Change — Does It Make or Break You?" "Successful Ways to Maintain Momentum" and "Handling Holidays," but of course the discussions can be whatever the group decides. This program is free, everyone is welcome. Call (603) 752-2010 if you have any questions.
Summer programs: The summer program schedule is in the works. Keep checking the recreation publicity site at berlinnh.gov or call (603) 752-2010 for details.
