Concord-Over 100 local and regional educators and emergency responders will attend a school bombing response planning course designed specifically for them. Keith Parent of SAU 20 will attend the half-day course will be held at the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Concord on August 22. It will be presented by the Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, a training partner of the US Department of Homeland Security and the training is provided at no cost to the school district.
The training is intended for those who plan for preventing and responding to a school bombing incident involving conventional or non-conventional explosives at a school. It is being offered to teachers, paraprofessionals, school administration personnel, resource officers, nurses and coaches. Public and private schools have been invited to participate.
