The first and third Wednesday of every month, the NAMI group meets at 3 Twelfth Street in the conference room from 6 to 8 p.m. NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) is a support group that provides support for families that are dealing with a loved one that has mental illness. For the month of October only, the group will be having our support meeting the first Wednesday and our guest speaker on the third Wednesday. On October 21, David Graham from Northern Human Services will be our guest speaker. David is the Coordinator of Systems of Care and Education for Northern Human Services. He will be discussing the different programs offered by the clinic and the referral process. Some of the topics to be discussed will include; Sliding fee scale and income questions; Outside referrals by Probation and Parole, court ordered referrals of adults and kids; Resources such as AA, NA, and NAMI that he suggests to people; 24 hour emergency services/on call program and Community Services Wraparound Project for kids.
