U.S. population growth continues to slow due to more deaths than births

DURHAM — Analysis of census data by Kenneth Johnson at the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy shows that the United States has seen the lowest population growth rate since 1937.

The population grew by just 2,020,000 or 0.62 percent between July 2017 and July 2018 according to recent Census Bureau estimates.
