CONCORD — New Hampshire’s preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for September 2025 was 3.0 percent. This was unchanged from the August rate, which remained at 3.0 percent after revision. The September 2024 seasonally adjusted rate was 2.7 percent.

Seasonally adjusted estimates for September 2025 placed the number of employed residents at 751,450, a decrease of 150 from the previous month and a decrease of 1,860 from September 2024. The number of unemployed residents increased by 70 over-the-month to 23,530. This was 2,500 more unemployed than in September 2024. From August 2025 to September 2025, the total labor force decreased by 80 to 774,980. This was an increase of 640 New Hampshire residents from September 2024.
