One of my favorite parts about still living in the area I grew up in is seeing how it’s changed over the years. I can remember Main Street in town having its few staple shops and destinations: The bookstore, the candy store, the pizza place, the movie theater.

There were some other stores as well, but I always remember there being a handful of empty storefronts mixed in, too. Now it’s the opposite; Main Street is booming with business. If a space comes up for rent, it’s not long before someone scoops it up.
