BERLIN — Northern Bio-Gas this month will begin the permitting process for the landfill gas-to-energy plant it will build and operate at the Androscoggin Valley Regional Refuse Disposal District’s Mt. Carberry landfill.

At the district’s monthly meeting on Feb. 27, consultant Sharon Gauthier reported Northern Bio-Gas will present preliminary plans to the Coos County planning board on March 19 at 6 p.m. at the Northern Country Resource Center on Route 3 in Lancaster and to the Berlin planning board on April 1.
