ANDROSCOGGIN VALLEY — The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has accepted as complete the final applications for the relicensing of the eight hydroelectric plants on the Androscoggin River between Berlin and Shelburne.

Up for re-licensing are the six hydro-electric plants owned by Great Lakes Hydro America – the Upper Gorham and Cascade facilities in Gorham, the Shelburne facility, and Cross, Sawmill, and Riverside hydroelectric plants in Berlin. The six hydro-electric plants have a combined capacity of just over 25 megawatts.
