Lake Region Project Graduation is proud to continue a decades-long tradition of celebrating graduating seniors with a safe, substance-free event on graduation night. This initiative, rooted in Maine history, began in 1980 after Oxford Hills lost seven young people to alcohol-related accidents during graduation season. In response, the community created a supervised, overnight celebration to protect its youth — a model that quickly spread nationwide.

Lake Region joined the movement in 1982 and has upheld the mission ever since: to honor our seniors with a night of fun, food, entertainment, and prizes, all in a secure environment that keeps them safe and off the roads.
