Jeanne Fleming Kobrock passed away peacefully at Atria Harborhill in East Greenwich, R.I. on December 5, 2025, at the age of 99. She was born in Scranton, Pa., the daughter of William and Mary Mann Fleming. She graduated from Grier School, Tyrone, Pa. and received a BA in political science from Wellesley College in 1947. She married John D. Kobrock in 1949 following his return from serving in the Navy in the Pacific during World War II. The family moved from Massachusetts to Maine in 1960, living first in Falmouth and then moving to Bridgton in 1966. Jeanne enjoyed winter and summer sports with her family, skiing at Pleasant Mountain, and their summer camp on Highland Lake. Following retirement, she and John enjoyed many years of ocean sailing along the coasts of Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island on their sailboat SO BIG living aboard the boat in the summers. She was a longtime member of St Peter’s Episcopal Church, the Bridgton Hospital Guild, and Friends of the Bridgton Library.

Jeanne is survived by Sandy Kobrock and her husband Mark Mueller of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Jeffery Kobrock and his wife Cindy Wetzel of Gardiner, Maine and Pamela Kobrock and her husband Russell Heaton of Hope, Rhode Island, and her granddaughter Emily Kobrock and her husband Jason Kyriazi of New Hampshire.
