RAYMOND — Woodland owners with 10-plus acres of forest are invited to gather at Camp Wawenock with a team of woodland experts for a day of learning, lunch, and connections on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 28.
Much of Maine’s forests are privately owned, and this event will provide landowners with resources to help their woodlands thrive now and for years to come. This day of celebration and education includes guided forest walks with local foresters, biologists, and conservationists, as well as time to network with other landowners. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with resource professionals to ask questions and discuss goals for their land. Lunch from Kindred Farms Market will be provided. The Sebago Clean Waters Forest & Water Quality Award will be announced, and all guests will be entered in drawings for free raffle prizes.Â
