To The Editor:

I listened to commercials from Troy Jackson saying how terrible things are in Maine and that he would change things if we only sent him to the U.S. Senate. Right now, our senator, Susan Collins, has many important committee and subcommittee assignments and is chair of the powerful Appropriations Committee and subcommittees. She is in a position to and does bring a lot of benefits to Maine. Mr. Jackson, if he should get elected, will be a freshman senator with about as much influence on any of the committees as a serf in Russia under the Czar. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.
