The Fanfare Concert Band is preparing for the final two concerts in their summer series in the Casco Days Park tonight, Thursday, Aug. 20 and Aug. 27. Because of the diminishing daylight hours, the Aug. 20 concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Aug. 27 concert will begin at 6 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket for comfortable seating, and maybe a sweater for warmth as the sun goes down.           

If you have attended previous concerts, you may wonder who is providing the announcements and informative and sometimes humorous commentary on each musical number. Her name is Georgia. She is a member of the trombone section. She also provides well-researched information about the composers and original performances of the music.
