LOVELL — The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library is celebrating the library’s 125th anniversary with a fundraising performance of Lace Irish Curtain, a one-act play by Carolyn Gage. The performance will be held at the Brick Church on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m.

Thirty-five years after the infamous Fall River axe murders, an Irish woman, working in her kitchen in Anaconda, Montana, opens a newspaper to read about the death of the alleged murderer, Lizzie Borden. The woman is Bridget Sullivan, the Borden’s former maid. A gripping solo, one-act play that turns history on its head! The play is recommended for an audience aged 12 and up.
