To The Editor:

Regarding last week’s letter touting Tim Becker for the State Legislature, the writer notes that he has been compared to former State Representative Walter Riseman, which I’m sure is accurate. He goes on to refer to Riseman as “always approachable” and cites his “acquired wisdom.” It begs a response that this “acquired wisdom” is responsible for the former representative’s voting with Democrats in favor of the horrible National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which surrenders Maine’s Electoral votes to more populous, left-wing states such as California and New York, basically seeing to it that Maine has no say in a presidential election.
