To The Editor:

Happy Constitution Day and Constitution week. Constitution Day is today, Thursday, Sept. 17. The National (U.S.) Constitution is a critically important founding key document for this country. Also, the National (U.S.) Constitution is “the supreme Law of the Land.” Please see the Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution). This sets the precedence for federal laws which take precedence over those in the State Constitutions. Additionally, the U.S. Constitution was signed on Sept. 17, 1787, by 39 delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.
