Sweden Food Pantry Board Secretary Miriam Gibely with apples donated by Coopers Farms.

SWEDEN — The Sweden Food Pantry recently received two apple boxes and two large bags of apples from Coopers Farms Orchard of West Paris, featuring MacIntosh, Zestar, and Honeycrisp varieties. Coopers Farms has held an annual lease for about four years to pick apples at the now-inactive Pietree Orchard in Sweden.

“I miss gleaning at Pietree and their regular boxes of apples, but this is a generous donation. I’m sure our shoppers will love them,” said Pantry Board Secretary Miriam Gibely. “The Honeycrisp apples are from Pietree.”
