HIRAM — 2026, the year the nation celebrates America’s 250th, is a good year for American history. September is a good month to reassess and plant your garden. Whaleback Nursery of native plants, Limington, will help you do both with a slide show, “Our Green Roots: plants that shaped the country” followed by a sale of native plants at the Great Ossipee Museum of Hiram Historical Society, 20 Historical Ridge, at 1 p.m. Light refreshments served.

The Great Ossipee Museum is open the morning of Sept. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
