LEWISTON — More Mainers will be receiving free lung cancer screenings, thanks to a generous donation from Free ME from Lung Cancer (FMFLC).

Deb Violette, president of the organization, was at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Feb. 3 to present a $10,000 check for low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) scans for high-risk patients. This collaboration is part of Free ME from Lung Cancer’s mission to reduce the suffering caused by lung cancer and promote early detection.
