In September 2024, the First Congregational Church United Church of Christ of Bridgton received a $1.25 million, five-year grant to support the founding of the Western Maine Children’s Ministry Hub. 

This regional center creates new opportunities for children, youth, and families in churches throughout western Maine and eastern New Hampshire. At the heart of the Hub is the Church Cohort Program, a year-long grant program connecting and equipping churches as they develop innovative, inclusive ministries for people of all ages and abilities.
