After 100 years of service, members are proud to be Lions

The Bridgton Lions wish to thank all those who contributed to the 100th Anniversary of Service to the community. The event was planned, not just to celebrate what the Lions have been doing in Bridgton for 100 years, but also to celebrate the community we serve. You see, it’s the community that financially supports the work Lions do, and in this celebration the Club asked many in the community to contribute services and talent to create a fun and diverse representation of who we are in Bridgton.

Hayes Ace Hardware and Rentals is always there for the Lions Club. They brought the Dunk Tank and the popcorn machine. Lions Jay Spenciner and Lucas Jordan took turns getting dunked before some of the kids wanted in on the fun. Chip Tuomi manned the popcorn machine. The Fire Department filled the dunk tank and they also brought the Air Rescue Boat for display. Al Hayes and Elaine Spenciner also worked tirelessly putting together the extensive Lions History Display. Bob Murphy sold 50/50 raffle tickets and $53 dollars was won by Jackie, the club’s chef from a few years back! Bob Hatch manned the Membership table.
