This week, I am finally able to share a tale I have long wished to tell. For any of our readers familiar with the environs of Depot Street, you may recall a large white building standing off to the lefthand side of the old Memorial School. Built into the side of the hill encompassing the grounds of the present Stevens Brook Elementary School, this structure is now boarded up and boxed in; a great tall rectangular box of a building now disused except for storage by the school-district. But once upon a time, in fact not so long ago that some of our older readers can still recall it, this building was open on three sides, and served as the center for many exciting local athletic productions. I am speaking, of course, of the old Bridgton Athletic Grandstand.
