Richard Sens, 91, of Bridgton, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris. He was born on February 2, 1934, in Freeport, New York, a son of Joseph and Alwine (Krusen) Sens.
Richard attended local schools and graduated from Wellington C. Mepham High School in 1952. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955. Following his military service, he began a decades-long career in videography. He became an Emmy Award-winning video engineer and an eight-time Emmy nominee, particularly recognized for his work on Sesame Street. Richard owned both a television studio in Manhattan and a post-production studio, and he was involved in numerous symphony performances and televised specials around the country.
