Howdy neighbor!

We return this week to our periodic coverage of our great and glorious Revolutionary War, as fought by the men of Bridgton 250 years ago. We’ve triumphed at Lexington and Concord, wept at Bunker Hill, and remarked on extraordinary service of such past townsmen as Capt. John Peabody, John Hayward, and Lieut. Robert Andrews. But so far as yet, the war has not reached Maine — the Minutemen of northern Massachusetts are besieging Boston, and patriot militias are massing across New England.
