BROWNFIELD — The Stone Mountain Arts Center (SMAC) is proud to present an extraordinary weekend of live music featuring Tom Rush on Friday, May 15, followed by acclaimed Americana artist Amy Helm on Saturday, May 16.
A pivotal figure in the 1960s folk revival, Tom Rush has long been celebrated not only for his own music, but for championing emerging songwriters who would go on to define a generation. He was among the first to record songs by artists like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Jackson Browne, helping introduce their work to a wider audience. Rush’s own recordings, including his landmark album The Circle Game, blend folk, blues, and country influences, delivered with a rich baritone voice and a storyteller’s charm. His live shows are known for their intimacy, humor, and the deep connection he builds with audiences.
