Aperto Fine Art presents an exhibition featuring Kathy Moss now through Oct. 13.

Kathy Moss brings beauty to botanicals past their prime in this alluring exhibition capturing the subtleties and sophistication of her subjects. The large images lay on the artists’ linen canvas covered in a thick application of a plaster-skim-coat-like mixture creating a pallet of light dancing in the background. The larger of the works present single sets of flowers capturing the often-unseen blues, yellows and pinks that blossom as the flowers wane. Smaller works include the artist’s sketches and studies now focused on trees brought out through quiet strokes most often within a brief landscape in these sweet works on paper and block.
